One day work week

I worked Monday then Lester was evicted on Tuesday and I've been recovering the rest of the week. I should be able to go back to work on Monday.

I'm sore and my clothes aren't fitting me so well. I have two days left so hopefully by Monday my clothing situation will be better or I'll have to pick up one of these...

Hey, anyone still there?

I miss blogging and I miss reading your blogs too. I hope to be able to catch up with my blog reading by the end of the week.

I've been on the computer for hours today doing school work so this post will be quick. I have a Lester update for you. He's being evicted on Tuesday. He can't be evicted without his residence being damaged so that's going too.

I'll miss you Lester. Not really.

Update

I'm now finished with my second week of graduate school and all I can say is "Wow. What did I sign up for?" Every day I'm working on school. TV watching, facebook, blogspot, daily phone conversations etc. have all gone to the wayside. What's more is it's only going to get more crazy. I start my online course next week.

Balance is going to get trickier and trickier. I'll just have to keep reminding myself to take it one day at a time.

I'm still super happy I'm going for my Masters. I just hope I still have hair by the end of it and that I'm not too much of a pain in the butt for John during this whole process.

On other news I'm hoping time between now and Monday goes very, very slowly. I'm having blood taken again. It's one of my least favorite things in the whole world. My friend told me to ask for the butterfly needle. It's supposed to be better. I'm also going to insist I need to lay down so we don't re-experience the fun time we did last time with the entourage of people making sure I don't pass out.

I'm getting my blood taken (again) because I continue to have girl problems. Don't worry though, none of it is a big deal. I have just decided that I don't want to write specifics about my reproductive system on the internet anymore. But for those of you who know who I mean by "Lester" you'll know what I mean when I say that Lester is soon going to be evicted.

Well friends, I'm going to wake my sleeping husband up from falling asleep on the couch and hit the hay.

Blogging Fail

I started my Masters last week. Our cohort is taking nine hours this semester. We met on Wednesday and on the 19th we'll start our online course (that's when ASU's official semester begins).

When school started I shifted some priorities around. Exercise is still my number one daily priority, healthy food is still my second and my Masters is now my third. (Things I have to do no matter what aren't on my list-they're just a given).

Where does blogging fit on my list? Number seven. Since I have a cut-off time every day where I quit being a busy bee at a certain time (so I can have some balance) I probably won't be getting to blogging on most days. That means I will probably get very behind on reading blogs too.

Maybe when I get used to working full time and being a graduate student I'll be able to have more time for the blogging world. We'll see.

I'm pretty excited about graduate school. I'll let you know more about it as we really get into things.

Little Earthquakes

I started reading it yesterday and already really like it. It started me off on my goal of reading at least twenty books for pleasure this year. I have other 2010 goals besides this one. I may post them at some point. Not at this point though. I'm too sleepy.

Horn frogs for a day

My mom and step dad came in on Sunday so we could all go to the Fiesta Bowl last night. Their team (TCU) played Boise State. Mom brought us some purple so we wouldn't be conspicuous.

I think we still looked like a couple of posers. John isn't clean shaven enough to be a true TCU fan and my hair isn't very blond. We still cheered and did the horn frog hand gesture. It didn't help bring a win.

School Pride

So did you hear about the college football coach who was fired for putting a player with a concussion in a dark room? That would be Texas Tech's coach. Splendid.

Here I am showing my school spirit. Go Tech. We played Michigan State University for our bowl game and just so happen to have a friend who graduated from there so we had an Alamo Bowl watching get together last night.

We had fun watching the game but I should have taken an after picture of our kitchen for you. You would have thought we had a huge party but there were only ten of us. Our kitchen gets trashed every time we have anybody over. I don't get it. It's back to normal now though. Thanks John.

And the beat goes on...

I'm so excited to be saying hello to another year. I've said hello to many before this one and hope to be saying it to many more.

I think as I get older life just keeps on getting better. I'm pretty lucky in mine. I always hope for everyone to have the same kind of happiness. I get really happy for people who are living joyful lives and really sad when they're not.

Everyone deserves joy. Everyone also deserves to have someone in their life who will make them feel like everything will be okay even when things are really crappy.

Happy New Year Everybody. I'm looking forward to another year of sharing our adventures together. Thanks for making blogging so fun.
