Cirgue du Soleil

Last Friday night as I was walking through the San Jose airport, someone was invading my personal space by walking extremely close to me. Odd things like this are not so out of the ordinary for me. Sometimes it's like I'm wearing a cloaking device or something. I ignored the person until I felt their arm around me. I looked up and John was laughing. I started laughing too.

We immediately went to the show from the airport. While I was waiting outside of the tent for John to use the restroom a bunch of women who didn't speak English came up to me and were pointing to their tickets wanting to know where their entrance was. I thought it was strange they were asking me because there were so many other people around and there were also people who actually worked there that could have helped them. Unfortunately I couldn't help them. It was confusing for me too. So they left me and went to someone else for help...John. He walked out of the restroom and they went right up to him.

How strange is that? Out of all the people they could have gone to they went to John and me. He wasn't confused so he was able to point them in the right direction. I guess we just have that, "I know my way around a circus tent" kind of look to us.

I do know the way to San jose

I got myself to the airport really early. It's too much to be waiting here. I'm too excited! Tonight I get to see john and a traveling cirque du soleil...two of my favorites.

Bullet List

Here's a quick summary since my last post:

  • On my visit to Texas I also got to see my grandfather, two of my cousins (Amy and Janet, muah!!) and their sweet children.

  • Our niece, D stayed with us for a week. We ate, shopped, people watched at the Renaissance Fair, rode an elephant, painted pottery and had a blast.

  • Got a new nickname-I will forever be Aunt Ellie to D.

  • Received the best manicure and pedicure ever from your typical walk in nail salon. I just have to deal with the Korean man saying things like, "Your skin is very dry. You need to put lotion on more often." Thanks Man, I'll try this "lotion" you speak of.

  • Went to an awesome baby shower for my friend Amy. It wasn't your typical shower. I think it was called a birthing party. It was very special and fun to be a part of.

  • Became addicted to pinterest. LOVE it-thanks Natalie. I made cucumber sandwiches to take to the birthing party from pinterest. If you're not on it, you should be!

  • Found out that John has to go to California for two weeks (he leaves tomorrow). Boo! He had to travel a lot this Fall and I HATED it.

  • Booked travel to see him in California. I fly to San Jose on Friday. We'll spend the weekend in Monterrey and then I'll come home on Tuesday (spring break).

  • Became addicted to "The United States of Tara". It's a show on Show Time about a woman with multiple personalities. We watched the first season Friday night and last night. We watched the 2nd season today. I can feel my a-s-s increasing in size as I write this. It's on watch it now in Net Flix if you're looking for something new to watch. It's awesome!!
