Another Day...

I'm alive another day so it's been one more day of experiences and reflections.  Here we go...

  • Positive thinking does in fact lead to positive experiences.  However, I can only be positive for so long before my inner self wants to b!*ch slap others and say, "Come on!  Are you serious?"
  • I'm still not as organized as I want to be which means I need to either still work on my organizational skills or prioritize better.  Or have less to organize...I like that one.
  • If you eat five starbursts and then two hershey kisses, you will have the same sensation as eating a tootsie roll.
  • People are way too serious about everything.  Sadly, I am one of those people sometimes.
  • My mouth is getting harder and harder to control.  However, I do apologize afterward...usually.
  • I'm definitely lucky in love and in pupster...Kita is almost 14 years old and still as spry as she was when she was 8.  John and I just celebrated 12 years of marriage!!
  • Compliments are not wasted on me.  I LOVE them.  Sooooooo, my plan is to give them out more along with kudos and thank you's.  I think they make even tough things worth it.
If you're reading this post, thank you!!  You're beautiful, smart, funny and super cool!!

Summer Deal

It's been so long since I last posted that everything is new and confusing to me.  What in the world has blogspot been up to?

Today is my second official day of summer vacation.  It's a beautiful and wonderful thing.  I think John looks forward to it almost as much as I do because it gives him a break in the morning.  For the ten months out of the year that I do work, he cooks us breakfast every morning.  It's awesome.

I finish getting ready and come out to things like eggs (egg whites), bacon (turkey bacon) and my coffee all personalized for me (splenda and creamer).  So in the summer I reciprocate and do the breakfast making.

I love the summer time breakfast making because...

1.  I sleep an extra hour.
2.  I get to do it in my pj's.
3.  Instead of work bound after breakfast, I'm sofa bound...not all day of course.

Since it's been awhile, I thought I'd upload the most recent pictures of John, Kita and me.  Here we all are...

Cirgue du Soleil

Last Friday night as I was walking through the San Jose airport, someone was invading my personal space by walking extremely close to me. Odd things like this are not so out of the ordinary for me. Sometimes it's like I'm wearing a cloaking device or something. I ignored the person until I felt their arm around me. I looked up and John was laughing. I started laughing too.

We immediately went to the show from the airport. While I was waiting outside of the tent for John to use the restroom a bunch of women who didn't speak English came up to me and were pointing to their tickets wanting to know where their entrance was. I thought it was strange they were asking me because there were so many other people around and there were also people who actually worked there that could have helped them. Unfortunately I couldn't help them. It was confusing for me too. So they left me and went to someone else for help...John. He walked out of the restroom and they went right up to him.

How strange is that? Out of all the people they could have gone to they went to John and me. He wasn't confused so he was able to point them in the right direction. I guess we just have that, "I know my way around a circus tent" kind of look to us.

I do know the way to San jose

I got myself to the airport really early. It's too much to be waiting here. I'm too excited! Tonight I get to see john and a traveling cirque du soleil...two of my favorites.

Bullet List

Here's a quick summary since my last post:

  • On my visit to Texas I also got to see my grandfather, two of my cousins (Amy and Janet, muah!!) and their sweet children.

  • Our niece, D stayed with us for a week. We ate, shopped, people watched at the Renaissance Fair, rode an elephant, painted pottery and had a blast.

  • Got a new nickname-I will forever be Aunt Ellie to D.

  • Received the best manicure and pedicure ever from your typical walk in nail salon. I just have to deal with the Korean man saying things like, "Your skin is very dry. You need to put lotion on more often." Thanks Man, I'll try this "lotion" you speak of.

  • Went to an awesome baby shower for my friend Amy. It wasn't your typical shower. I think it was called a birthing party. It was very special and fun to be a part of.

  • Became addicted to pinterest. LOVE it-thanks Natalie. I made cucumber sandwiches to take to the birthing party from pinterest. If you're not on it, you should be!

  • Found out that John has to go to California for two weeks (he leaves tomorrow). Boo! He had to travel a lot this Fall and I HATED it.

  • Booked travel to see him in California. I fly to San Jose on Friday. We'll spend the weekend in Monterrey and then I'll come home on Tuesday (spring break).

  • Became addicted to "The United States of Tara". It's a show on Show Time about a woman with multiple personalities. We watched the first season Friday night and last night. We watched the 2nd season today. I can feel my a-s-s increasing in size as I write this. It's on watch it now in Net Flix if you're looking for something new to watch. It's awesome!!

Getting Pampered with the Ladies

My mom took all of us girls to Angel's Nail Salon last weekend. The little ones all got their nails painted.

It was really fun having that experience with the little chicas.

Impossible

My brother was trying to get my picture with the four bambinos this weekend. He succeeded with getting some pictures, just not with any of us looking at the camera at the same time. I think Eliza and Nicole kind of got it. Natalie and I never quite looked up and Joey kept making the golf club into some sort of weapon.

So Far in 2012

Today I uploaded all of the pictures I've taken so far in 2012. I think my mind is getting fuzzy because my intention was to upload my pictures from my weekend in Horseshoe Bay. However, once I started uploading I was like, "Oh yeah..."

So my pictures from my weekend will be in another post. Hopefully not four months from now.

This picture is more for my amusement. I should have taken a picture of the tiny drawer all of these socks came from. I had helped John clean out his sock drawer and it was like clowns emerging from a tiny car. We just kept pulling out more and more socks.

This is our new pool table. Our rental house has a big room when you first walk in that could be for a formal dining room and living room. Since we don't really have a need for such a fancy space we filled it with something John has always wanted but we never had enough room until now.

At the end of January we flew to Dallas to spend the weekend at John's sister's house. Danielle's son M was celebrating his second birthday so we headed out to help celebrate and to meet our three week old niece. S is super sweet. She makes a lot of quiet little noises.

A bunch of family was there for the weekend, including John's Grandma Alice. We discovered that we are jacket twins. I also discovered that I need to do something about my shiny forehead.
