Just a little nervous...

I found a recipe in our Biggest Loser cookbook for meatloaf (sorry vegetarians, for you it's a lentil loaf) so I thought I'd try it out tonight. I'm a little nervous...I've never made one before. I also haven't eaten one since about 1988.

I have my supplies...

Oops, I forgot the milk.

Any tips for me so my first attempt is a success? Does anyone even make meatloaf anymore?

What a good little chef you are! I despise everything about cooking. To answer your question... I'm sure people make meatloaf, but my Mom made it faithfully and I have a hard time eating it now! Good luck!

We have it relatively often. Do you have a KitchenAid mixer? Use the paddle to mix everything and avoid touching anything with your hands. Add basil and some sundried tomatoes. Good stuff.

Mmm... I love meatloaf :) Unfortunately, I'm not so talented in the kitchen area, so I can only eat it when I visit my parents!!

Try cooking it in a crock pot! It turns out delicious and it cooks itself! :)

I actually make meat-loaf pretty often. I make it with lean meat and lots of shredded veggies so we can feel good about eating meat. Google Michael Chiarello Italian Meatloaf. That's the recipe I use.
