Taking the steps...

I signed up to take the GRE in November. Has anyone taken it before? Do you think I should sign up for a study course? Yuck...I hope you say no.

Obviously I took the LSAT and not the GRE, but if you can swing it I would definitely take a course. I did NOT take a course and it was difficult for me to work full time and motivate myself to study in my off time. I think if I had the structure of a course I had paid a lot of money for I would have been more focused. Also, I know at least with the LSAT, the course teaches you HOW to take the test. There are a lot of tips and tricks that you just aren't going to know if you do it on your own. I ended up being satisfied with my score, but I know I would have done a lot better had I taken a review course.

I took the GRE in December, 2000 right before I graduated with my B.S. I would definitely recommend taking the class. I did and it was very helpful. I suck at anything math related and the class reviewed some of the concepts that I hadn't done since high school. Also, it might be different now, but when I took it you had to do it on the computer. You answered a question and then had to submit it. No skipping around. No going back to review questions later. NOT how I take tests. It was very difficult. A class can help you prep for stuff like that.

If it were me . . . I sould just suck it up and take the course . . . my math skills are pretty rusty and i know I would be worried about that portion.

Good Luck - let me know when you are taking the test and I will send good juju your way!
