Top 10 Monday...

Today's top 10 list is about my ten favorite 80's movies. I had to cut Dirty Dancing and Some Kind of Wonderful.

Here we go...

10. Ferris Bueller's Day Off 1986

9. Weird Science 1985

8. Pretty in Pink 1986

7. Adventures in Babysitting 1987

6. Vacation 1983

5. Feds 1988

4. The Goonies 1985

3. Sixteen Candles 1984

2. Steel Magnolias 1989

1. The Muppets Take Manhattan 1984

I know my number one is pretty childish but I LOVE that movie. Muppets are fun. When I was a kid I had a Miss Piggy sleeping bag. She was in an evening gown sitting on the moon. It was the coolest.

So all you 80's kids, what are your favorites?

OK - I sooooo love movies from the 80's. This is a fun way to get my Monday started. I had a VERY hard time just picking ten - so I have a few honorable mentions - Big(88) ET(82) and Bull Durham (88)

10. Say Anything (1989) - "I gave her my heart and she gave me a pen." (Mare- I was suprised this one didn't make your list - I know how much you love John Cusack)

9. Fame (1980) - After seeing this movie I wanted to move to NYC and attend the HS for the Performing Arts

8. The Princess Bride (1987) - "My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father - prepare to DIE."

7. Dirty Dancing (1987) - "Nobody puts Baby in the corner."

6. St. Elmo's Fire (1985) - You can't have a best of the 80s list without at least one Brat Pack film

5.Back to the Future (1985) - this is a sentimental favorite as I went on my first date to see this movie

4. Footloose (1984) - The soundtrack from this movie is still a favorite - Eliza and I have been known to jam out to it while in the car

3. Dead Poet's Society (1989) - "Damn it Neil, the name is Nuwanda."

2. Top Gun (1986) - "I feel the need - the need for speed." This movie that gave my dog Maverick his name

1. When Harry Met Sally (1989) - This is my FAVORITE movie of all time ever. I of course love the line "I'll have what she's having" but my favorite line from this movie is "When you find the person you want to spend the rest of your life with - you want the rest of your life to begin as soon as possible."

Now I want to go home, put on my jammies, make some jiffy pop and do some movie watching!

Say Anything...of course! I don't know which one would be bumped for it. Hmmmm...

Jammies and movie watching sounds fabuous. You think Mom would go for that for her birthday celebration?

=)
