Please help this white girl...

Do you notice something about me in this picture? Besides that I look a little nervous that the puppy is going to scratch me and the bigger dog is going to eat my face? I totally blend in with the cool decking.

I normally embrace my complete lack of color but I think it would be nice when I am running around Hawaii in shorts and bathing suits to have a little color on me besides cool decking pale or lobster red.

What can I do? I have almost two weeks to get the sun kissed look before our trip. Is there a sunless tanner out there that won't turn me orange? Would going to a tanning bed work for me even though I can't get tanned by the sun? Has anyone ever gone to a place where they spray stuff on you?

I will be forever grateful to anyone who knows what could possibly help my ghostiness.

Josh's sister works at Victoria's Secret and she swears by the sunless tanner from there, and I must say, it looked natural enough for me not to notice she had used a fake tanner.

When I was a bridesmaid in my friend's wedding I went to a salon/spa and had someone spray self tanner on me. It came out great. She used a special spray machine that kept me from having weird lines and stuff. If you're interested I can find out the name of the salon.

Hey, just rock it, pale is the new tan. ;-)

Seriously, though, as a gal with celtic bloodlines, I am about as vampire pale as they come, and have a lot of moles that the dermatologist is always freaking out about. Apparently melanoma is one of the fastest growing cancers you can get, and almost impossible to cure once you get beyond the superficial stages. So PLEASE don't try a tanning bed!!! I think your delicate coloring is gorgeous, and sets you apart from all the toasted clones out there. :-D

Embrace your pastiness! It is beautiful to be pale! Your skin will be softer, have less lines, and NO SKIN CANCER. You are gorgeous in your milky white state and your ass better be using SPF 50 the entire time you are in Maui!

I've used spray sunless tanners from Target, not sure on the brand but it worked good. Didn't turn me orange!
My sister prefers the tanning salons with the spray tanners, she's never looked orange. There is more than one spray to pick from as well, different shades of "tan". Some with bronzers as well, that might bring out the orange tho!
Otherwise, I say just go as you are :) Use lots of SPF!!

I know the feeling. I get whiter and whiter each year that passes and my skin doesn't even tan like it use too ;( . I've been using a Dove self tanner. It works pretty good but it washes off in the shower...

I have known people that have gotten spray on tans for a special occasion and they were pleased. But, if you do that make sure you can wear super strong sun block over it.I am with D. ,NO TANNING BEDS.
